Answers
1. When is this happening?
Answer: Starting on Thursday June 1 www.wbmason.com will display our open shopping site.
2. How will W.B. Mason’s new open website change
the way I place my orders online?
Answer: There will be very little change in how you place orders. The one
major change is that you will not be required to login right away. Currently
you have to login with your Username and Password before you can access any
part of the site. Beginning June 1 you will be able to access basic shopping functions
BEFORE you are asked to login.
3. What will I be able to do before I login with
my Username and Password?
Answer: You will be able to add items to your Shopping Cart without logging
in. This will permit you to quickly browse our selection of products and create
your order over the course of hours or days without having to login each time.
4. Do I still have to login with my Username and
Password to complete my order?
Answer: Yes. For your security you will be required to provide your
Username and Password before you can Checkout and submit your order.
5. What other features will require logging in?
Answer: You will need to login in order to access any of your personal
information. This includes your Order History, the ‘My Lists’ page and the ‘My
Account’ page.
6. Will my Checkout process or any of my account
settings change?
Answer: Once you log in, your payment options and Checkout experience will
be identical to what you accustomed to today. Your account's Billing, Shipping and Payment settings will remain the same.
7. Can I avoid these changes to the system?
Answer: If you do not want your shopping experience to change at all, click on
this link and then add it to your Favorites: b2b.wbmason.com/login_main.aspx. Then simply login each time you visit the site as you do today.
8. W.B. Mason has customized my organization’s
account using the Advanced Business Controls. Will all of those features
remain in place?
Answer: Yes. Logged in users will have the exact same online experience they
have today.
9. My organization has rules about what products
can be purchased. Will those rules still be in place?
Answer: Yes. When users login with their Username and Password they will
have access only to your organization’s specific catalog of products. If
restricted items are added to a Shopping Cart before the user logs in, those
items will be removed from their shopping cart after they provide their Username and
Password. They will receive a message telling them which items were removed.
10. My organization has an Order Approval
process. Will orders still be sent for approval?
Answer: Yes. When users login with their Username and Password, all of the
account rules are in place including any Order Approval process your
organization has established.
11. My organization needs to prevent all access
to the Open Site. Is there any way to do that?
Answer: Most organizations' networks can be configured to block access to
specific website addresses. W.B. Mason can work with your I.T. personnel to
prevent any access to the Open Site if necessary (the open site address is
www.wbmason.com and whobut.wbmason.com).
